Drop-off
How drop-off works
Field dress and cool it down
Get the deer field dressed as soon as you can and keep it cool. Warm meat is the number one thing that ruins a deer before it ever reaches us.
Telecheck it before you come
Missouri law says a deer has to be reported through Telecheck before processing starts, and by 10 PM the day you shot it. Leave the confirmation number attached to the carcass — it has to stay on until we start cutting. Bring your notched permit, or a label with your name, address, permit number and harvest date if you used the MO Hunting app.
Fill out a cut sheet
Tell us what you want in steaks, roasts and ground, and what you want made into sausage or jerky. Print ours ahead of time or fill it in at the counter — either way we'll walk you through it.
We call you in three to five days
Most deer are ready in 3–5 days. Everything comes back vacuum sealed, labeled and frozen. Your deer, not somebody else's.

Pricing
Standard processing covers skinning, cutting, wrapping and freezing, and is priced off the field-dressed weight. Sausage and specialty items are extra, by the finished pound. Call (417) 674-2100 if you want to talk it through before you come.

Euro mounts
Skull mounts, done here.
We have our own licensed taxidermist on site, so a European mount doesn't mean a second trip to somebody else. Tell us at drop-off and the skull comes back cleaned and whitened with your meat.

Missouri law
Deer shot out of state
Missouri won't let us take a whole carcass from Kansas, Oklahoma or Arkansas. It has to arrive boned out, cut and wrapped, or quartered with no spine or head attached.
Missouri law
Pick-up deadline
Deer left with a processor have to be claimed by May 1 after the season they were taken. After that the state considers them abandoned and we're required to report it to the Conservation Department.

Straight answers
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome all season — during deer season we're here 8 AM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday. A call ahead is appreciated on a busy weekend, but it isn't required.
How long until I get my deer back?
Most deer go home in three to five days. Opening week of the November portion is our heaviest stretch, so give us a little room then.
What does standard processing cost?
It's priced off the field-dressed weight: $130 up to 89 lbs, $140 from 90 to 110 lbs, and $1.30 a pound at 111 lbs and up. Sausage, jerky and the rest are extra, by the finished pound.
Do I get my own deer back?
Yes. Your animal stays separate from the tailgate to the pickup counter. We don't pool meat and we don't substitute.
When do I have to pick it up?
As soon as you can after we call. Storage runs $20 a week once it's ready. Missouri also sets a hard deadline: a deer left with a processor has to be claimed by May 1 after the season it was taken, and after that we're required to report it to the Conservation Department.
Do you do beef and pork too?
We do. We're a custom-exempt shop, which means we process the animal you already own and it goes home to you — custom beef and pork come back labeled “Not for Sale,” which is what the law requires for custom processing.
